Architected the City of Jacksonville’s physical fibre plant: the outside plant carrying public safety, intelligent transportation and general government traffic across 840 square miles, with detailed outside-plant drafting produced by engineers on the team.
Downtown was built as interlocking rings rather than spurs, so a cut took out a path and not a building. The design work ran all the way down to conduit, manhole and hand-hole placement, pull boxes, slack and splice points, and cable routing distances.
Owning the plant is what made everything above it affordable and survivable. The diverse paths, the signalised intersections, the radio sites and the neighbourhood broadband pilots all sit on it.
