The outside plant carrying public safety, intelligent transportation and general government traffic across Jacksonville, along with in-building distribution, with detailed outside-plant drafting produced by engineers on the team.
Downtown was built as interlocking rings rather than spurs, so a cut took out a path and not a building, and the design work ran all the way down to conduit, manhole and hand-hole placement, pull boxes, slack and splice points, and cable routing distances.
Owning the plant is what made everything above it affordable and survivable.
Outcome
An owned plant that made the diverse paths, the radio sites, the intersections and the broadband pilots affordable and survivable.
