Fort Stewart Mobile Disaster Recovery Fleet

A fleet of vehicles able to deploy across Georgia during disasters and operate where fixed infrastructure was gone.

The vehicle kit was a packaged, repeatable integration of equipment from multiple manufacturers that met the Army’s data transmission and usage requirements and held FIPS and related federal standards.

The design constraint was reproducibility — every vehicle had to be built the same way and work the same way in the hands of whoever drew it, which makes a kit a reference architecture that happens to fit in a trunk.

Delivered under Top Secret clearance and described here at a deliberately general level.

Outcome

A repeatable kit that worked in the hands of whoever drew it, not only whoever built it.
