LAN Administrator / Desktop Support Specialist

The Prudential Insurance Company — Server engineering, SQL database administration and lead desktop support — including two years on a scanning, imaging and workflow programme.

Dates provisional. Recalled rather than sourced — to be confirmed against the record.

Two roles in sequence. Desktop Support Specialist from March 1997, team leader for the Imeson Park remote site, building an asset management system and planning equipment moves across sites. Then LAN Administrator from June 1997: NT 3.51 and 4.0 server estates, drive arrays for production, extensive SQL 6.5 support, and specialised support for a two-year scanning, imaging and workflow programme as one of three on the imaging team.

One of three engineers on the imaging team, across NT 3.51 and 4.0, Windows 95 and 3.x, OS/2 and Novell. Also built the asset management system and planned the equipment moves between sites.

The imaging work here led directly to the InfoImage training in Chicago and then to StorComm.

Dates provisional. The master CV records 1996 to September 1997; contemporaneous resumes record March 1997 to November 1997. Needs confirming.
