Gunshot Detection & Active-Shooter Tracking

Acoustic detection tied to camera estates so a detected round could be correlated with video and a subject followed rather than merely located.

Also known as ShotSpotter, Acoustic Detection

Architected and tested the feasibility of a gunshot detection and active-shooter tracking pilot with GraceMark Consulting and multiple technology vendors — tying ShotSpotter acoustic detection to Bosch camera estates and Genetec video management, so a detected round could be correlated with video and a subject followed across a site rather than simply located at a point.

Each product worked on its own. The real question was whether the seams between them held under the only conditions that matter here, which are seconds rather than minutes and a subject who is moving.

Gunshot detection also featured in the municipal mesh design years earlier, carried alongside residential broadband so one build served two purposes.
