Designed and built Cisco DOCSIS cable plant for new residential developments in partnership with cable providers: the cable layout for the greenfield buildout, the fibre infrastructure feeding it, and the headend-side design that made residential broadband possible in areas that had none.
Greenfield residential is a sequencing problem as much as an engineering one. The plant has to be in the ground before the streets and houses are finished, so the design has to be right the first time or it gets dug up.
DOCSIS work also ran alongside the network engineering at StorComm from 1997.
